NEVER FORGET 9/11

Today mark's the 5 year anniversary of Islam's brutal
attack on America. Five years later and I still don't
think most Americans get it. This wasn't a terrorist
attack. We are not fighting a war on terror. This was an
Islamic attack and we should be waging a war on Islam.
Five years later and Osama Bin Laden is still a free man
because George Bush thought Iraq was more important than
capturing the world's most wanted terrorist. Five years
later and the media is publishing national security
secrets. Five years later and the Supreme Court rules
that the terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay should get
fair trials here in the U.S. Five years later and our
borders are still unsecured. Five years later and former
Taliban members are attending Harvard using U.S. granted
student visas. Five years later and we are forgetting
what happened on that clear September morning.
For as long as I live, I will never forget 9/11 and
who our true enemy is...Islam. The video below shows
just how evil these people are and why we must
NEVER FORGET 9/11.

I never imagined that paying $2.79 for a gallon of gas
would be a good thing but after living with $3+ gasoline
for the past year or so, it was nice to these numbers at
the gas pump today. Having said that, I kinda enjoyed
the fact that $3/gallon gas was really sticking to all
the idiots driving hummers and oversized SUV's in the
city.
Weekend Update

We spent the better part of the weekend running around
doing 100 little things so for those that really want to
know, here's what we were doing..
Friday - I think
we just chilled at the house most of the night having a
few cold ones and alternating between surfing and
watching TV.
Saturday - we
slept late as always and then Kim spent a few hours
getting her hair done while I met with a new website
client. I picked up some KFC and had it ready and
waiting for Kim when she got home. After dinner it was
back out the door. We headed to Office Depot to pick up
a new computer chair since my captain's chair was
wreaking havoc on my back. I got one of those super
adjustable ergonomic chairs but stopped short of getting
the $900
Herman Miller chair I plan on getting next year.
I think we went to Dairy Queen for some Blizzards after
that and then came home to play on our pc's and watch
some TV.
Sunday - Gas
finally dropped below $3/gallon here so I headed to
Costco to fill up while Kim talked with her bro Chris.
We headed to Home Depot after that for some potting soil
and plant supplies before back to Office Depot so I
could pick up a footrest. I was on a mission to improve
the ergonomics of my
Stellar Media Group headquarters this weekend.
We also went to Bed, Bath & Beyond for a few things and
ended up having dinner at
Billy's Diner in Torrance where dinner is
usually on the house for us...one of the benefits of
doing their website.
After that we finally
came home only to wonder where the weekend went? Now
it's back to the grind!

Say what you will be about Ben Affleck but he certainly
has a way with women and is a pretty funny guy during
this very "hands on" interview with Montreal TV host
Anne-Marie Losique. It's a Sunday morning interview and
it's apparent that Ben is still buzzing from the night
before or just the smoothest guy on the planet!

Steve
Irwin, the Australian TV presenter known as the
"Crocodile Hunter," has died after being stung in a
marine accident off Australia's north coast.
Australian media reports say Irwin was diving in waters
off Port Douglas, north of Cairns, when the incident
happened on Monday morning.
Irwin was killed by a stingray barb that went through
his chest, according to Cairns police sources. Irwin was
filming an underwater documentary at the time.
Ambulance officers confirmed they attended a reef
fatality Monday morning off Port Douglas, according to
Australian media. Irwin, 44, was director of the
Australian Zoo in Queensland.
He and his American-born wife Terri Irwin became popular
figures on Australian and international television
through Irwin's close handling of wildlife, most notably
the capture of live crocodiles.
He will be missed!

During
the course of "good-ol-days/real music" Tuti insisted
that Sweet Child of Mine was the first video released by
Guns N' Roses. I insisted that it was Welcome to the
Jungle which was then re-released after they hit the big
time with Sweet Child of Mine. We started of with a $10
bet that went to $100 then $1000 and eventually got up
to plasma TV level. Unfortunately for me we finally
settled on one dollar which Tuti now owes me seeing as
how he was only off by about a year!!!!!
August 1st, 1987
- GN'R's first video, "Welcome To The Jungle", is
shot at Park Plaza & 450 S. La Brea, Hollywood.
August 2nd, 1987
- Second day of the "Jungle" video shoot.
April 11th, 1988
- The band shoots the video for "Sweet Child O'
Mine" at Ballroom, Huntington Park, CA.

We
hooked up with Tuti & Casie Saturday night for some
beach photos, crab legs and tequila shots. They wanted
some shots of the expectant mother at the beach so I
gladly volunteered to help out. We then went to the
Bamboo Garden for some crab legs and coconut shrimp and
got totally stuffed. After dinner we headed back to our
place to have some drinks and give Casie some baby
gifts. We also watched some Mind of Mencia, had some
tequila shots and reminisced about the good old
days...mostly about the days when radio and the MTV
played real music. Tuti almost lost his plasma TV to me
on a GNR bet but I'll elaborate more on that in my next
post!
