Happy
Birthday wishes going out to my beloved Kim today. It's
still early in the day and she hasn't gotten her gifts
yet so for now I'll just say Happy
Birthday!
:-)

Kim
had been sick with a severe cold virtually all week so
we took things pretty easy this weekend while she was on
the mend. We did a little bit of light shopping Friday
night and watched some TV. I had to photograph an art
festival Saturday afternoon but Kim felt like going out
Saturday night so we went and saw Miami Vice the movie
which was really good but nothing like the TV show. We
spent most of Sunday afternoon laying by the pool and
working on our tans and spent the rest of the night
relaxing on the sofa watching a movie. And now you
know...

Defeated Georgian representative (and confirmed crazy
woman) Cynthia McKinney was singing the blues
(literally) after losing her seat in congress last week.
McKinney sang a few bars of an anti-bush song by Pink
and then coyly blamed her defeat on electronic voting
machines and called them a threat to democracy. I think
the only people threatened by electronic voting machines
are the idiots who voted for her in the first place.

There's
some good news to report in the world today. The voters
in Georgia finally sent Cynthia McKinney packing today
as she lost her bid for re-election to Attorney Hank
Johnson who was a virtual unknown 5 weeks ago. McKinney
is the crazy congressional rep from Georgia who believes
the Bush administration knew about 9/11 before it
happened and then assaulted a congressional police
office earlier this year when he had 'the nerve' to ask
for her ID when he didn't recognize her. B-otch!

Not too much to report this week. We were out and about
all weekend just messing around but not really doing
anything significant. Just doing a little shopping,
running a few errands, eating out, watching movies,
recycling and doing clothes. That's what we did this
weekend...enough said and I don't feel like doing a
lengthy post right now.

Here's one that literally made me laugh out
loud...enjoy!
A pompous minister was seated next to a Redneck on a
flight across the country. After the plane was airborne,
drink orders were taken. The Redneck asked for a Jack
Daniels and coke, which was brought and placed before
him.
The flight attendant then asked the minister if he would
like a drink. He replied in disgust, "I'd rather be
savagely raped by brazen whores than let liquor touch
these lips."
The Redneck immediately handed his drink back to the
flight attendant and said, "Shit, me too. I didn't know
we had a choice!"

This is an awesome way to tell your neighbors what you
think of them. My neighbors to the right are oriental so
I guess I could carve my hedges into a Godzilla shape!
LOL!

We
finally saw Pirates last night and it was pretty awesome
in our opinions. It was nearly 2½ hours long but I would
have gladly sat thru 8 hours it was so good. The special
effects were great and it has lots of little twists and
turns. The ending kinda blows your mind and we'll have
to wait till next summer to see the conclusion. Another
great thing was that you get to see the trailer for the
Transformers which comes out next July 4th and should in
all likelihood be HUGE!
