Great White (Trash)
Posted by Jimmy :: Friday, April 21st, 2006 :: 10:48 PM PST :: Comment On This Post

This certainly had me laughing out loud today. It's a clip of some mother and daughter confronting a teacher at a PTA meeting. The teacher is telling the mom that "Terri was doing marijuana and she had THC in her system" at which point the mom steps up and punches the teacher square in the face. It's far from a knock out punch but still pretty funny in a sad, shocking kind of way. The teacher is more stunned than hurt and the mother and daughter walk off with the kind of smug confidence that only white trash can. Judging from the unchanging blank stare on the daughter's face I don't have any problem believing the teacher on this one! These are the kind of people that make watching COPS so enjoyable. Enjoy!

Great T-Shirt

Someone sent me this earlier today and it cracked me up. Everyone knows I'm not against immigrants, just illegal immigrants. Why should I have to pay taxes when illegal immigrants don't and they use more social services than I do? That's bullshit! Anyway, you can find all kinds of funny immigration shirts by clicking on the t-shirt image below. I just may have to buy this one. Enjoy!

This is great clip from FireFox fans making fun of all the other web browsers out there particularly Internet Explorer. I love the FireFox browser but still have to use IE more often than not because most of my web clients still do and as a designer I still have to design sites that are gonna look good in IE as well as FireFox. I've been trying out the beta version of IE7 and at least they put tabs in it but it's still plagued with little annoying issues. It's weird that the biggest and richest company on the planet can't build a browser that's as fast and stable as FireFox or any of the other open source browsers.

Ok, here's the funny clip...

Try the FireFox browser...

The latest version of FireFox is UNBELIEVABLY FAST compared to IE over a high speed connection and I highly recommend FireFox to everyone! You can download it FREE using the link below!

Joke For Musicians

Q: How many guitar players does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Only one. They just hold the light bulb and the world revolves around them.

I used to be a guitar player and I'm sure my old band mates would appreciate that joke!

The best thing about spring is that it presents all kinds of great things to photograph...at least in my humble opinion. I spotted this honey bee out back earlier today and realized that I've never gotten any shots of bees before and now was my chance. It was a little chilly and windy today so this bee let me get pretty close although having a good zoom helped. It would have come out even better if I had used my tripod instead of free handing it but I still thought it came out looking pretty cool.

Easter @ The Laundry-Mat
Posted by Jimmy :: Sunday, April 16th, 2006 :: 8:59 PM PST :: Comment On This Post

Unfortunately, we spent Easter Sunday at the laundry-mat. Not that we would have really done anything special for Easter anyway. We're not exactly "religious" and all our family lives in Virginia so Easter has become sort of a non-holiday for us. I did send a little stuffed bunny to my niece Alex for Easter and got to talk to her for a few minutes before she went to bed. She's only 2, but she's already got a better grasp of the English language than most kids her age and I'm really looking forward to seeing her next Christmas.

Crash (The Movie)
Posted by Jimmy :: Sunday, April 16th, 2006 :: 8:46 PM PST :: Comment On This Post

After our night at the Comedy & Magic Club was over, we headed home to crash on the couch and watch Crash on DVD. It's an amazing movie with a star studded cast and it's all about the interaction of different racial groups here in Los Angeles. It can be a tear jerker at times, but we highly recommend it.

Saturday Night @ The Comedy Club
Posted by Jimmy :: Sunday, April 16th, 2006 :: 6:14 PM PST :: Comment On This Post

Jeff Dunham and his boys (Walter, Bubba, & Peanut) were performing at the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach on Saturday night so we went down early to have dinner and see the show. We just saw his special on Comedy Central last weekend so it was great to see him live right in our neighborhood. We managed to get front row seats about 5 feet from center stage and as luck would have it, Walter (the old guy) ragged on me for about 10 minutes for being a web designer, but it was all in good fun and I enjoyed the publicity. Jeff even came to our table and shook my hand after the show and thanked me for being a good sport which was cool.

If you've never seen Jeff Dunham and his boys, you should definitely check out his special which is re-airing Tuesday night at 10:00pm on Comedy Central or check out some of his clips online at...

Friday Night @ National Sports Grill
Posted by Jimmy :: Sunday, April 16th, 2006 :: 5:49 PM PST :: Comment On This Post

After another long work week (and receiving a few fat checks!), we decided to go out to dinner at the National Sports Grill and have their famous Blackened Chicken Alfredo...Kim had the Blackened Salmon Alfredo. While we were waiting for our food, we leafed thru one of the local papers and saw that one of our favorite comedians was performing in Hermosa Beach on Saturday so our weekend was set. (See next post)

After dinner, we headed to Best Buy to look at some digital cameras because you can never have enough DVD's or cameras! Actually, we're trying to find a good camera for Kim's mom. (Don't buy anything yet, Ruth! We're still looking!)

Kim remembered the Target had some Easter DVDs on sale that she wanted so we stopped to see if any were left. Can't beat $7.99 for a DVD! She got "It's The Easter Beagle Charlie Brown", "Here Comes Peter Cottontail", & "The Easter Bunny's Coming To Town". (Yeah...she's reliving her childhood. HA! )

Creature Feature: What Happened To Terri Hatcher?
Posted by Jimmy :: Monday, April 10th, 2006 :: 11:42 PM PST :: Comment On This Post

I can remember a time when I thought Terri Hatcher was hot but lately something has gone terribly wrong with her DNA. I don't know if she's had any work done but if she's gonna continue to try and look young and sexy (she's like 41 now) then maybe she should cause she doesn't appear to be aging well. This is how she looked at the GLAAD awards over the weekend...

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just saying...what happened to Terri Hatcher?

Air Force One

President Bush, First Lady Laura and Dick Cheney were flying on Air Force One. George looked at Laura, chuckled and said, "You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy."

Laura shrugged her shoulders and replied, "I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy."

Cheney added, "That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy."

Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his co-pilot, "Such big-shots back there. I could throw all of them out of the window and make 56 million people very happy.

Getting Better Every Day
Posted by Jimmy :: Sunday, April 9th, 2006 :: 3:32 PM PST :: Comment On This Post

Like one of my favorite Tesla songs things are definitely getting better every day! Here's why...

  • Kim is back! - After being sick for the better part of the last week Kim is back to herself again which means I have my best friend back. I was starting to get lonely and didn't have anyone around to laugh at my jokes and immature antics.

  • Spring is here! - Spring is finally "springing" up here in the South Bay. We've been in perpetual weather limbo for the past few months...always hovering between winter and spring but if finally looks as if our "normal" weather is gonna show up. The sun has been shining all day for the past few days and even though it's not exactly beach going weather yet, it's a far cry from the rain and never ending cloudy days we've been having.

  • Daylight Savings Time - we've finally made the switch to what I consider "sensible" time. Why we don't stay on DST all year long is beyond me. At least it will last a month longer starting in 2007 thanks to a new law passed by Congress. In 2007 DST will start in March and end in November instead of April & October. Awesome!

  • Home Movie Night - After picking up The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe on DVD, we pulled out our sofa bed in the living room for the first time, turned off all the lights, lit a few candles, and had our own "cozy" night at the movies Saturday night.

  • Almost Debt Free - On my ongoing quest to be debt free in 2006 I'm down to only more credit card to pay off and only 5 more car payments and then I am done! Woo-Hoo!!! (Don't worry, I'm gonna start paying off Kim's stuff after I'm finished with all mine)

  • Getting Caught Up - Even though I have about 2 more solid months of web work ahead of me before I can say I am truly caught up, I managed to knock out a lot of "little things" that have been on my radar for way too long. Only about 8 more major websites left to complete...guess I should be working on them instead of rambling on my blog huh?
