Jessica Snubs The
President

I'm not the only person
who thinks George Bush sucks. Jessica Simpson declined
an offer to meet with the President during her upcoming
trip to Washington to promote her charity Operation
Smile. She was given the chance to attend a Republican
fundraiser and get some face time with the President
afterwards but declined the offer. Go Jessica!
Of course, I wouldn't turn down a chance to meet the
President cause I would relish the opportunity to tell
him how much of a loser he is!

Idol Fever

We are in full American Idol mode now that's it's down
to the final 12 and we've already picked our top 2
contestants! We're totally pulling for the rocker dude
Chris Daughtry who has rocked the show virtually every
week so far and last night's show was no exception. We
were a little worried cause all the contestants had to
sing a Stevie Wonder song but we forgot that the Red Hot
Chili Peppers did a rock cover of Higher Ground back in
the 90's and of course that's exactly what Chris did. He
blew everyone else away.
Another interesting fact about Chris...after doing a
Fuel song a few weeks ago the band offered him the job
of being their new lead singer. He had no choice but to
turn it down because he's under contract with American
Idol. This dude is on his way and we couldn't be more
excited.
Having lavished enough praise on this guy, our pic for
runner up is Katherine McPhee who's right here from LA.
She can definitely sing and she's also got the looks. So
even though we just got into the top 12, we've already
picked our top 2 finalists.

I bet you didn't know this but the U.S. used to make
$10,000 bills. There are only a few in existence and
there's a story about one of them on the link below.
This is what a $10,000 bill looks like!

I know I've posted this on my website before before but
in light of my previous post I think it bears repeating.
If you do a search on the word "failure"
in Google, the number one result is the homepage of
George W. Bush.
It's also interesting to note that Jimmy Carter is # 2
and Michael Moore is # 3.

What's Going On? (Rant
& Rave)

Comment On This Post
Just thought I'd take a few minutes to share my thoughts
on what's going on in the world for those who care to
know.
-
All Time Low - President Bush's approval
ratings hit an all time low this week hovering
around 34-36 percent. I voted for this moron twice
(not because I liked him but because the other
alternatives sucked) and even I can't stand him and
am more than ready for him to be gone. At least 70%
of the country believes it's time to get out of Iraq
and let them have their own civil war but this idiot
just keeps sticking to his same ol' song and dance
about establishing freedom. I never thought anyone
could suck more than Clinton but I think it's safe
to say that George W. Bush is the
WORST PRESIDENT EVER!!!!! (And you know it's
bad when Republicans start saying that)
-
U.S. Blunder Is Lucky Break For Moussaoui
- Zacarias Moussaoui, the 20th hijacker who's
currently on trial may not get the death penalty
because federal prosecutors coached some of their
witnesses which is against federal law. What I don't
understand is why it has taken almost 5 years to get
this terrorist in a court room and why the trial
lasted more than a day. I personally think once you
had enough evidence in hand to show that this guy
would have been the 20th hijacker had he made it
into the U.S., he should have been drug out back and
executed...4 years ago! Now he'll probably wind up
with life in prison on our taxpayer dime.
-
Chef Quits South Park - Isaac Hayes quit his
voice-over role as Chef on South Park this week
citing objections to the show's satire on religion.
The shows creators said never had any problems when
the show was bashing Christians, Muslims, Jews, etc.
but as soon as they did an episode about
Scientology, that's when he had a problem.

As I'm sure most of you can see, I've been way too busy
to update my website on a regular basis lately. My
business is exploding but I'm hoping to get caught up
this week and get back on a regular update routine. Plus
there hasn't been a whole lot going on in the world
lately.

Big Buckin' Chicken

I saw (or more importantly heard) the new
commercial for Burger King's Chicken Tendercrisp this
weekend and it certainly made me do a double take. It
shows a bunch of cowboys riding a giant chicken while
the announce talks about a "big buuuucking chicken!" The
word play is so brazen that I doubt it will on the air
long but it's definitely funny.

Photographing The Kite Festival

The
Redondo Beach Pier held it's annual Kite Festival
yesterday and it was certainly a good day for it with a
pretty strong ocean breeze going. I had to photograph
the event which was a good reason to get out of the
house during daylight hours for a change. It was a
little chilly and I'm already anxious for summer to get
here. It's not supposed to be cold here!!!!

Too Many Crab Legs

Comment On This Post
I
never thought I'd be "over" crab legs but after another
Saturday night at our favorite all-you-can-eat-crab-legs
joint, I won't be wanting any crab legs for quite a
while. We headed to the Bamboo Garden in Torrance again
this weekend and pigged out on crab legs. We also
sampled their coconut shrimp and a few other dishes but
we mostly stuck to crab legs. For those that have never
seen it, Kim has got to be the world crab eating
champion and under her tutelage, I can now throw down as
well. After overstuffing ourselves, we came home to
crash on the sofa and catch up on The O.C. which we
always record so we can fast forward thru commericials.

Kim told me you signed our guestbook but I think I
erased your comments today while deleting a ton of
spammer comments. Spammers have been hitting my site
hard the past few days and I've been deleting spam
comments left and right. So anyway...sorry! Kim said
that you loved Kenny Chesney too and that we should all
go to one of his concerts. I'm down with that. And I'll
try not to delete your comments next time you
sign....ha-ha!

The Last Templar

Fans
of The Davinci Code will certainly enjoy this book...I
know I sure did. I picked it up at Barnes & Noble last
week and zoomed thru it over the course of two days.
It's basically another one of those fiction books that
is filled with facts but intertwined to create an
entertaining story. It revolves around the secret
knowledge the Templars had and why the Catholic Church
feared them and ultimately had them destroyed. A great
read and hopefully they'll make it into a move like The
Davinci Code which I can't wait to see this spring.

Going Global

I can now say that my company has gone global after
picking up my first International client last week.
Through some bizarre chain of recommendations, I got a
call from a company in London asking me to take over
their site and so I did. I had to spend a few nights
working at 3am to get all their stuff moved over but it
was worth it.
Watch out world! Stellar Media Group is
taking over...ha-ha! |

Kenny
Chesney RULES

Music has always been important to me and I'm always on
the hunt for something that "moves me" and recently I've
gotten into Kenny Chesney big time. I know that may seem
a little shocking too everyone who thinks I only listen
to rock but I actually listen to a wide variety of music
ranging from pop to rock to jazz and classical and now
country. I've also added some other country artists to
my play list including Gretchen Wilson, Keith Anderson,
and Brooks & Dunn but Kenny Chesney RULES!!!! I'm not
even sure if he tours around here but I think I'll be
going to see him if he does. His music reminds me about
all the good things I remember from my days growing up
in the South.
My favorite KC songs so
far;
-
Anything But Mine
-
I Go Back
-
Back Where I Come
From
-
The Woman With You
-
Old Blue Chair
(Don't worry...I'm still
listening to Whitesnake only a daily basis!) \m/ |
